Presidential Pardon

Presidential Pardon section 84 of the constitution of the republic of South Africa, 1996 gives power to the President of the country to grant a Presidential pardon. To pardon is to forgive, these applications are for those offenders who don’t qualify for expungements and also for serious offenders. This is a much lengthier process in that it is an application that goes all the way to the President of the republic of South Africa. The power to grant a pardon is solely his and can never be divided or removed as it is a power granted to him by the Supreme law of the Republic of South Africa.
